A: You may do. They're not essential for web browsing but they do have their uses. If you're using a website for personal things, like
banking, shopping, credit cards or anything to do with finance then you're better off not using a proxy, these sites need to know it's the real
you for security reasons. However, if you're browsing unknown websites or links in emails etc. then you will be a lot safer if you do use a
proxy. Every website you visit makes a note of your IP address and usually leaves you a cookie too. These can help to store any site
preferences you may have but they can also be used to track your surfing habits, and they always leave traces on your computer that anyone
can find, just look at your 'History' tab and you'll see what I mean. By using a web proxy the sites you go to only see the proxy, not you, this
makes your browsing a lot safer and less traceable. It also lets you get past web filters as well, the kind used by some employers, schools,
universities or even by some governments, so you can surf your favorite sites anywhere and keep up with your life, and your friends, online.
FYI: This proxy is hosted in France, so that's where you'll appear to be from.
Please note: This is a free service supported by advertising but any abuse or misuse of this service will get your IP banned, so behave
yourselves people. Have fun by all means that's what it's for, but nothing illegal or immoral please, I don't want the complaints.
Tips: Don't use capitol's and don't have spaces in addresses, they don't work. Also note: hotlinking is disabled so you can't send a proxified
page to anybody, they'll just get an error message. Send a link for the site to visit and tell them to surf thru' this proxy.
